Turkish Bread

Ingredients:

  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 7g dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 300ml warm water
  • Sesame seeds (optional)



Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the warm water and mix until the dough comes together.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 220C/430F.
  6. Divide the dough into desired shape and size and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Brush the dough with water and sprinkle sesame seeds on top (optional)
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool and enjoy!

Note: The dough can also be shaped into a traditional round loaf or rolled into long, thin pieces for a more authentic Turkish bread experience.
