MOZZARELLA CHEESE STUFFED MEATBALLS

Ingredients:

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 pound ground beef (or a combination of ground beef and pork)
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Cheese Filling:

  • 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup low-carb tomato sauce (check the label for added sugar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
