**Avocado Dressing for Taco Salad**
**Ingredients:**
– 1 ripe avocado
– 1/2 cup sour cream
– 1/4 cup mayonnaise
– 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/2 cup milk or heavy cream, as needed
**Instructions:**
1. **Prepare the Avocado:** Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
2. **Combine Ingredients:** Add sour cream, mayonnaise, fresh lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, chopped chives, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the avocado.
3. **Mix Well:** Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocado and mix all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
4. **Adjust Consistency:** Gradually add milk or heavy cream to the avocado mixture, stirring continuously, until you reach your desired consistency. Add more for a thinner dressing or less for a thicker dressing.
5. **Taste and Adjust Seasoning:** Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning, if necessary, by adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice according to your preference.
6. **Serve:** Once the dressing is well mixed and seasoned to your liking, transfer it to a serving bowl or a jar. Serve immediately with your favorite taco salad or refrigerate until ready to use.
7. **Storage:** Store any leftover dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
