User tortellini soup with italian Sausage

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the Italian sausage  over medium heat, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through.
  2. Add the diced onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, water, diced tomatoes (with their juices), dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  5. Once simmering, add the refrigerated cheese tortellini to the pot and cook according to the package instructions, usually about 7-9 minutes.
  6. Stir in the fresh spinach leaves and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until wilted.
  7. Taste the soup and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  8. Ladle the Tortellini soup with Italian sausage into bowls and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh basil leaves before serving.
