Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cauliflower Mash:
    • Steam or boil the cauliflower florets until tender.
    • Drain the cauliflower and transfer it to a food processor.
    • Add minced garlic, butter, salt, and pepper, and pulse until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Meat Filling:
    • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned.
    • Add diced onion, carrots, peas (if using), and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetable are tender.
    • Stir in tomato paste, beef or vegetable broth, Worcestershire sauce (if using), thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
  3. Assemble the Shepherd’s Pie:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Transfer the meat filling to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
    • Spoon the cauliflower mash over the meat filling and spread it out evenly.
  4. Bake:
    • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let the Shepherd’s Pie cool for a few minutes before serving.
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and enjoy!
