French Onion soup in a slow cooker. Perfect for a Wintery day!!
Three medium onions, 2 containers of beef broth, 1pkg onion soup mix, 3tbsp vegeta seasoning, dash of Worcestershire sauce, 1can of Guinness beer. 2tbsp sugar, 1tbsp salt. Parsley and pepper to taste. Simmer in crock pot on high for 6 hours. Top (in oven safe bowl) with sliced baguette and provolone cheese. Place under broiler until cheese is melted and starts to brown.
French onion soup
Load a crockpot up with 4 to 5 thinly sliced onions. Add half a stick of butter and some olive oil salt and pepper. Put on the lid. Set for warm and go to bed.
In the morning add 4 to 6 cups of beef stock. A quarter cup of balsamic vinegar, and a quarter cup of brandy.
