Vegetable beef soup recipe

In a large pot I browned 2 pounds of hamburger. While it was cooking I seasoned it with season salt and black pepper. When it was browned I took it out of the pot and let it drain on paper towels. There wasn’t a lot of fat left in the pan so I added about 2 TBSP of butter. I diced up a white onion and added it to the pot. Stirred it for a couple minutes. I added 3 cloves of garlic that I diced up, and cooked another couple minutes. I cut up 4 med sized carrots (coin size) added it to the pot. I peeled and diced 4 large gold potatoes into cube size and added it to the pot. Stirred a couple minutes. I added about a 1/4 cup of flour and stirred all together. I let that cook on low for about 5 minutes. Brings out great nutty flavor of the flour. I then added 4 cups of low sodium beef broth, one small can of tomato paste, and added the hamburger back in. I opened and drained one can of corn and one can of green beans. Added both to the pot. Added about 2 to 3 cups of water, and more salt and pepper to taste. Stirred it all again. Let it simmer the rest of the day until it was time for supper (probably 3 hours). Don’t let it boil or the potatoes will probably break up and the carrots will be mushy.
It was FABOULOUS!!!
