Oyster Stew Recipe

1 stick butter
1 small onion, finely minced
1 stalk celery, finely minced
1 pint oysters
3 cups half & half or whole milk (or combination of the two)
Salt & pepper
Cayenne pepper (optional)

(1) Melt butter and add onion and celery.
(2) Cook until onion turns transparent.
(3) Add oysters and cook until edges begin to curl.
(4) Add half & half or milk (or a combination of the two) and stir to combine.
(5) Continue cooking until tiny bubbles start to form around the rim of the pan.
(6) Add salt and pepper to taste.
(7) For a little heat, stir in a dash of cayenne pepper.
(😎 Serve in bowls with oyster crackers on the side.
