Keto Mongolian Beef


  • 1 pound flank steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon erythritol or other keto-friendly sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced


  1. In a bowl, whisk together the coconut aminos, sesame oil, and erythritol.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the coconut oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  4. Pour the coconut aminos mixture over the beef and stir to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth and arrowroot powder. Pour this mixture into the skillet and stir to combine.
  6. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened to your liking.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced green onions before serving.
